love Canon but not too excited about this one
    rating

Honestly I may be unfairly comparing this with my Canon A630 which I just loved and which broke when I dropped it.

Compared to that one (which used 4 AAs, this one which uses 2 AAs), the battery life is way too short. I'm chewing through batteries at a distressing rate.

There is sometimes a really long wait after you take a picture, before you can take your next one.

I sometimes find the viewfinder (hope I am using the right term) hard to use.

That said, perhaps some of this could be solved by changing some settings. I have always loved my Canon purchases thus far (4-in-1 printer and 2 cameras) and picture quality, price and customer service are outstanding.

My favorite camera I've ever owned
    rating

This camera is the best one I have ever owned. The pictures are crystal-clear. I took a picture of my son spraying me with the water hose and the camera captured each individual twinkling droplet of water as well as his ornery face behind the water. This camera is light-weight and easy to use. I love the zoom-quality, too. Pictures that I take far away are just as clear as ones up close. The price is great, too.

    Absolutely great
    rating

I purchased this camera solely for one purpose - to make pictures of my jewelry that I sell. This is the only camera in this price range that has a micro option. Absolutely great close ups. Will recommend to anyone.
