    Great Camera
    rating

I love my camera. From now on, I'm sticking to Sony for digital cameras. One of the best features is that panoramic mode. I think the only drawback I've personally found on the camera is that unless I actually set the camera to shoot in burst mode, I can pretty much forget about taking pictures back to back to back. I mean, if there's a way to do that without setting it in burst mode, I don't know about it yet. I'm still discovering new things that I can do with it, so, maybe it's just a matter of time. My pictures are coming out so crisp & clear, that it's just amazing. I couldn't have picked a better camera.

    WOW ! SPECTACULAR
    rating

I have to say that my experience is good so far! When i received he camera(my 3rd digital cam)we were leaving the that morning to go to Disney's Magic Kingdom in Orlando,so i charged up the battery for approx. 1.5 hours, and although it wasn't fully charged up when i left home, the battery lasted the entire 6 hours that we spent there. Now,because i didn't get to peruse the camera or instructions,i simply set it to Intelligent Mode, and started to shoot away, and yes i have to say the shots i took are spectacular..WOW WOW WOW! I am a happy camper.i took approx. 250 pics that day,and 98% of the pics were beautiful.I'm not a professional, but i know enough, having used an Olympus and a nikon coolpix to know that this is a good investment.Zoom capabilities is good, and the only reason i didn't give it 5 stars,is because,i need to use it a bit more, and i will update this review.

Good camera but misleading zoom number
    rating

I liked all of the features of the camera. It's pretty easy to use if you've read the manual. I recommend getting the complete manual. Unfortunately if you're, like me, not happy with having to read it on your computer, you have to order a bound version from Sony, for about $11.00. As a more-or-less amature photographer I expected the advertised 20X zoom to be similar to a 20X binocular. Not even close. The image, at the full zoom of the lens, is 20X the image size in the wide angle mode which is considerably smaller than that viewed with the naked eye. My guess is that the actual zoom, from what the naked eye sees, is closer to 10 or 12X.

Having said that, it's still a fine camera. The image stabilization works very well and it shoot great macro shots. The panorama feature is fun to use and likewise produces a fine image.
